Yesterday I made the cutouts with the jigsaw. I bought extra blades for cutting through aluminum but they quickly got filled op with melted aluminum. The best blades where quick cutting blades with titanium coating for wood… .

To fix the section on the aluminum profile – I thought it would be clever to use a kind of Sika Flex. But this didn’t lock down the sections properly. So I went quickly to my options and decided to cut 38.8cm pieces from a 2.4cm x 2.4cm and screwed them alternating to the sections.

The Bow and Tail provided it’s own challenges…

I slotted the support square and screwed it onto the strongback and the section and glued the tail section into the support.

In the end I raised the support on the bench hoses by 30cm to get a better work height.
