Lukas contacted me and asked for advice where to buy the material needed here in Switzerland. So I compiled the following list:

Wood – I orderd 2 planks of Candian Red Cedar at https://www.aecherliholz.ch/ – This will take some time (up to 3 Month) because it is a relatively unusual wood for the Swiss market and you would need 6m in length. They will cut the wood into strips. Rough price estimate: 1000 CHF

Epoxy Resin – I only work with West Epoxy with the slow (206) Hardner https://shop.swiss-composite.ch/ki/Harze/Epoxydharze/Laminieren.html?filter_param%5BMarke_104%5D%5B0%5D%5B0%5D%5Bop%5D=add&filter_param%5BMarke_104%5D%5B0%5D%5B0%5D%5Belement%5D=West+System&Kategorie_ID=973&kat_aktiv=973

For the Frej Boats you would need 4x https://shop.swiss-composite.ch/pi/Harze/Epoxydharze/Laminieren/West-A-Pack-105-206-51-1200g.html (Slow Hardner) plus the Pump-System for proper dosis.

Saftey – Epoxy is unhealthy, so a mask is a need. No exceptions or excuses.

A good choice is the M3 Starter Pack: https://shop.swiss-composite.ch/pi/Arbeitsschutz/Atemschutz/Staub-Schutzmasken/3M-Halbmaske-6000.html

Wood Glue – Titebond II Premium Wood Glue (Water Resistant) (See Amazon)

Nitril Gloves in 100 Pack (Coop/Migros)

Glas-Fabric – 92110 163g/m² Köper 100cm – Artikel Nr:    190.1158 (see online shop of swiss-composite.ch)

Carbon-Fabric – 447 160g/m² Leinw.100cm – Artikel Nr:    190.6809 (see online shop of swiss-composite.ch)

Microballoonshttps://shop.swiss-composite.ch/pi/Fuellstoffe/Kugelfoermig/Phenolic-Micro-Ballon-braun.html

Strong-Back – Allega Aluminum Box Profile

Styring Strips from the Pharmacy

Ca. 30 cheap brushes https://shop.swiss-composite.ch/pi/Werkzeug-Zubehoer/Pinsel-Roller/Pinsel/SCS-Laminierpinsel-20mm.html?von_suchresultat=true

Empty Mövenpick Icecream boxes (Washingmaschine) for mixing.

Don’t eat or drink during sanding and working with epoxy resine. Always wear masks to protect yourself!
